Juan Carlos Nieves, 69, born in Manatí, Puerto Rico, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Carlos spent much of his life in Paterson, New Jersey, before moving to Royal Palm Beach, Florida, in 2006.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Carlos served from 1975 to 1978 and was stationed in Germany. He later followed in his father’s footsteps as a professional barber, carrying on a family tradition.
Above all, Carlos was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He is survived by his parents, Gregorio and Carmen Nieves; his wife, Diane; his sister, Lucy, and her husband, Manny; his children, Jose Miguel and his wife, Jessica, Mimi, Erika and her husband, Junior, JC and his wife, Stefanie, and Jordan; and his grandchildren, Layla, Lucas, Leo, Keila, and Keanna.
Carlos believed in Christ and will be remembered for his love of family, his faith, and the life and memories he shared with those he loved.
May he rest in eternal peace.

During Carlos’s care, Fisher House provided his children with a place to stay so they could remain close to their father.
