On January 21st, Joyce A. Davis, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend to all, passed away peacefully at the age of 78. Joyce was born to the late Carl and Mary Kilmer in 1940 in Cato, New York and is predeceased by her husband, Eldon Davis. She is survived by her four children, Carla (John) Lamb, Michelle (Steven) Ericson, Charles (Carol) Davis, and Sabrina (Jeffrey) Schwartz, fourteen grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. Joy had a passion for painting and singing. Her paintings of seascapes are much admired by friends and family. She loved to sing and enjoyed sharing a tune or two at karaoke. Joy was known for her quiet humor, infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. Many people say there is nothing like a mother's love, and they are right. Our mother was a wonderful person who showed love to everyone she came in contact with. Joy was caring and beautiful inside and out. She loved life, her family, and her friends. She was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind many beautiful and happy memories. Mom will truly be missed. A private family ceremony will be held on February 1, 2019. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the K-9s for Warriors at https://www.k9sforwarriors.org/ways-give-k9s-warriors or the American Cancer Society.
