Josephine S. Martin

Josephine (Jay) Martin, 102 Jay passed quietly on 9/20/23 at home with her family in West Palm Beach, Florida. Formerly of Belleair Bluffs, Fl., Jay was born in Taunton, Mass, July 11,1921. After her graduation from Taunton High School, Jay spent the next 45+ years managing The Sport Shop, downtown Taunton. Jay was predeceased by her husband, A. Joseph Martin; her parents Manuel and Mary O. Soares; brothers Manuel and Harry Soares; sisters May Styles, Elsie Thomas, Ann Perry and Lillian Greer-Horton. She is survived by her sisters Virginia Amaral and Helen White, both of Taunton; her son Thomas and wife Linda of West Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren Angella and Adam of Florida as well as 2 great grandsons and several great, great grand children, all of Florida.
