In Loving Memory of Jose A. Vallecillo Jose A. Vallecillo, 86, of West Palm Beach, Florida, departed this earthly realm on August 28,2023. He gracefully entered this world on May 17, 1937, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, born to Elisa Napoleoni and Cristobal Vallecillo. It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Jose, known affectionately as Val and Gramps, as a gentle soul who lived a life of love and simplicity. Val enjoyed doing things to expand his knowledge of our world and the things in it and enjoyed sharing that knowledge with his grandchildren. He loved painting and sailing in his earlier years and always had a love for great food, a good book, and time with family and friends. Val was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Margery Vallecillo. His unwavering care and love for her new no bounds. He cherished the moments spent together, embracing every opportunity to nurture their connection. Val's love was not limited to his wife alone, as he was a nurturing father to Jessica Vallecillo and a compassionate stepfather to James McCleary, Kathy Buckler, Michael McCleary, and Sharon Patelsky. The joy he found in the love of his 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren was immeasurable. A man of service, Val pledged his allegiance to the Air Force with pride. He valiantly defended our nation, embracing his duty with honor and commitment. Val's bravery, instilled in his heart, remained with him throughout his life. Following his military service, Val embarked on a career as an esteemed computer programmer. He put his remarkable talents to use serving Eastern Airline, US Airlines, as well as a few other notable companies. Even upon retiring, Val was unable to quell his passion for his craft and returned to work part-time for the Winston Salem minor Baseball League, a decision that brought him immeasurable joy. Beyond his professional achievements, Val was an ardent lover of baseball. Beginning in his childhood, on the streets of New York, he excelled in the sport and continued to display his impressive skills in the Senior Games Softball League. It was with great pride that one of Val's teams secured the championship, a testament to his unwavering spirit and love of the game. A Celebration of life had been arranged to pay tribute to Val's remarkable presence in our lives. The service will take place at his cherished abode, located at 13703 42nd Rd N, Royal Palm Beach, on Sunday, September 3, 3023, commencing at 2:00pm. We will gather together, sharing memories, laughter, and tears, as we remember and honor the legacy Val leaves behind. To commemorate Val's life, his family kindly requests that contributions be made in his honor to the American Heart Association. He believed wholeheartedly in supporting causes that nourish the health and well-being of others. By contributing to this organization, we honor Val's compassionate nature, allowing his spirit of generosity to touch the lives of those who need it most. As we bid farewell to Val, we find solace in the love and warmth he shared with us all. His genuine acts of kindness and his enthusiasm for life shall live on within our hearts. May his departed soul find eternal peace in a place where steadfast love of the Divine welcomes him home.
