Joseph Jon Matulaitis

Joseph (Jay) Matulaitis, 80, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on March 10, 2024, after a brief illness. Born in Worcester, MA on April 17, 1943, he was the son of Anna (Petkus) and Anthony Matulaitis. He was educated in Worcester schools, graduating from South High School in 1961. Joseph attended Worcester State College, graduating with bachelor's and master's degrees. He pursued a career in teaching where he taught science in Southbridge, MA school system and held various offices in the Massachusetts Teachers Association. Joseph was predeceased by his older brother Anthony A Matulaitis who passed away this past October. Joseph leaves behind two Nephews, Michael and Mark Matulaitis from Cape Cod and a Neice, Anna Maria Cay, who resides in the home where Joseph was born in Worcester. Joseph also leaves behind many great nephews and nieces. Joseph loved the outdoors and spent time when he resided in the Worcester area fishing and hunting. He would frequently take his nephews and niece on road trips including a cross country tour, trips to Florida and the Washington DC area. Jospeh will be greatly missed.
