Growing up, Joe was the youngest of six children by 7-minutes allowing for "Ladies First." Joe, his parents, brothers Mike, Bill, Frank, Don and twin sister Elizabeth grew up in the Catholic Faith with a love of each other. He was especially proud of his three children who all became successful adults. Joe was a cancer survivor and a storyteller. He loved camping, classic country music, westerns and war pictures, Civil War history and history in general. He loved dogs, especially his best friend "Shane Bear," a Belgian Shepherd that sat at his side faithfully. Joe had a great sense of humor and often gave family and friends nicknames as terms of endearment. There was Huck, Biscuit and Lil' Redneck to name a few. Joe loved the NFL and his beloved Miami Dolphins. Joe was preceded in death by his mother Betty and his father Milo, his older brothers Milo "Mike" (Francine), Bill (Alison) and nephew Johnny Blanco. He is survived by his wife Susan, brothers Frank (Kathy), Donald (Kimberly) and his twin sister Elizabeth (John Blanco), his daughters Jessica (Daniel Vaughn), Katie (David DiPino) and son Tyler (Autumn), his five granddaughters who he loved dearly, Daisy, Everleigh, Poppy, Kaia and Luna, as well as uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends. Papa Joe had an unrivaled energy and enthusiastic zest for life and fought until the end for his family. He is in pain no longer and can rest. Papa Joe is looking down from Heaven with his beaming smile brightly watching over his treasured family.
