Joseph Miradieu Aubourg was born in Arniquet on October 24, 1940, to Sergela and Amildor Aubourg. He completed his early education in Arniquet before continuing secondary studies in Laborde. Joseph later worked for the National Malaria Eradication Service and earned his diploma as an agricultural technician from the Damien Faculty of Agronomy. He went on to serve with the United Nations in Les Cayes. In 1976, Joseph moved to Canada to join his beloved fiancée, Fernande Descardes, whom he later married. Together they raised four beautiful children: Harry, Junior, Nancy, and Valérie. After twenty-three years in Canada, the family relocated to Florida in 1997 to enjoy a new chapter of sunshine and their retirement. Joseph was a man of deep devotion—to his family, to nature, and to the values he lived by: kindness, humility, and quiet strength. He cherished time with loved ones, lively conversations, and the joy of watching his grandchildren grow. Diagnosed with heart disease in 2021, he faced every challenge with grace and courage until he passed away peacefully at home on November 16, 2025. He leaves behind his loving wife, Fernande Descardes Aubourg; his children Harry (Elismonde Grand-Pierre), Junior (Juliette Souffrant), Nancy (Frantzi Hyacinthe), and Valérie; his grandchildren Elyssa, Zachary, Lydia, Chelsea, Nylah, Noélie, and Tristan; and his siblings Termidor, Seizelène, and Elmira Aubourg. His memory will forever remain a blessing
