Jose A. Veguez

Jose A. Veguez was born November 10, 1935 in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba to Jose Veguez Sr. and Aurora (Guevarra) Veguez. Jose, who was affectionately known and loved, is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gudelia (Oropesa) Veguez, his daughter Lorraine (Peter) Ranta, his son Steven (Annabel) Veguez, his grandchildren, Nicholas S. Ranta, Zachary J. Ranta, Brianna I. Veguez and Christian J. Veguez, whom were his pride and joy, as well as his sister in law, Nellie Oropesa, his nieces Joann (Luis) Rodriguez, Nancy (Jessy) Giberson, Elizabeth (Paul ) Gatto, his nephew, David (Lisette) Oropesa, 6 great nieces and 1 great nephew. Jose enjoyed his job as an engineer with Florida Power & Light for many years and then enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his family after retirement. What Jose loved the most was being a grandfather. He encouraged his grandchildren to prioritize and value a good education and he always cheered them on whether at recreational soccer games for Christian, dance recitals for Brianna or Nicholas and Zachary's Lacrosse games. Services for family and friends will be held as follows; Viewing will be Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 5:00-9:30 p.m. at Palms West Funeral Home 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. Mass will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Therese De Lisieux 11800 Lake Worth Road, Wellington, FL 33449.
