Jose Hilario Lopez

Jose (Joey/Pepe) Lopez, of Clewiston, Florida transitioned peacefully on February 27, 2024 surrounded by his immediate family. Joey always kept a great sense of humor and was a great friend to all who knew him. His life led him on many adventures and he enjoyed several hobbies. He always tried to live his life in the moment, taking in the memories he would make and stories he would later share. He was a great story teller and always had a way with connecting to people. He will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Jose is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Mother, StepFather, Oldest Brother and first Wife, Veronica R. Lopez, whom he shared 18 years of marriage. He is survived by his loving partner, Laritza Contreras and his precious daughter Natalie, his siblings Juan Lopez, Pedro Lopez, Eugene Lopez (Luly Lopez), Gabriel Lopez (Velia Lopez), Maria Lopez, Maria Reed (Jimmy Reed) and several nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
