With deep sorrow, but with immense gratitude for his life, we say goodbye to our beloved father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Jose V. Dominguez, 89, who passed away on August 8, 2026, in Port St. Lucie, Florida, following a stroke.

Jose was born on August 14, 1936, in La Unión, El Salvador, to Teofila and Mariano Dominguez. From a very young age, he showed an extraordinary love for learning, especially reading and mathematics. His talent was recognized early in life, and he was advanced from first grade to third grade because of his ability to read and his enthusiasm for mathematics. He studied accounting at Instituto Migueleno de Comercio and earned his accounting degree from the Universidad Nacional de San Miguel.

In San Miguel, he met and married the love of his life, Estela Dominguez. Together, they shared 66 years of marriage, building a family rooted in love, faith, and perseverance.

With the hope of providing a better future for their children, Jose and Estela immigrated to the United States with their family. They first lived in Washington, D.C., and later in Virginia, before retiring together in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Jose was a hardworking and devoted man. For many years, he worked three jobs, putting in long hours during the day, evenings, and weekends. Every sacrifice he made was for his family and to provide them with a better life.

During retirement, one of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alongside Estela, he was always there to care for them, support them, and be part of their lives. His family was the center of his world.

He was also a man of deep faith, a devoted member of his church, and a loyal friend to many.

Jose is survived by his beloved wife, Estela, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage; his children, Oscar (Lilian), Wilfredo (Gloria), Alex (Amelia), Walter (Carol), and Martina (Dennis); his 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

His greatest legacy was not only his education or his work, but the family he built, the sacrifices he made, and the love he left in each of us.

Dad, thank you for your love, your sacrifices, and for teaching us through your example the value of hard work, faith, and family. We will carry you in our hearts forever.

Rest in peace, dear Dad. May God welcome you into His glory.
