In Loving Memory of José "Pepe" Armán García May 5, 1932 – May 24, 2025 With deep sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of José "Pepe" Armán García, a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and treasured friend, who passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on May 5, 1932, in La Margarita, Province of La Habana, Cuba, Pepe was a man of quiet strength and boundless heart. He left his homeland with his wife and four daughters, seeking a better life—a courageous act that would become the foundation of a family legacy defined by love, resilience, and purpose. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Gladys Cecilia "Mima," who passed before him. For over 68 years, they built a life rooted in hard work, family, and enduring values. Pepe was a simple man who found joy in the everyday. He loved tending to his garden, and anyone who visited his home rarely left without a cutting, a plant, or a fruit tree from his backyard—a living reminder of his generosity and friendship. Friendship meant everything to him. No matter how far life took people, he never forgot a friend. He kept in touch, remembered names and stories, and always made space for laughter and connection. His warmth and loyalty left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his loving daughters: Gladys Armán Casas and her husband Juan Casas, Dinorah Armán and her husband Harold Williams, Estela Armán and her wife Dalia Alvarez, and Tomasa Armán Raver and her husband Bernard Raver. He also leaves behind his beloved sister Olga Vazquez; his grandchildren: Estéban Fuentes, Ana María Miller, Nicole Fuentes, Victoria Daniels, Marisol Casas, Joe Raver, and Carissa Raver, as well as seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Janine Fuentes. In addition, he is lovingly remembered by a large extended family of nieces and nephews whose lives he touched with kindness, humor and wisdom. Pepe lived a life rich in love, kindness, and generosity. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to bloom in every garden he touched and in the hearts of all who carry his memory forward. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025 at Palms West Funeral Home. The viewing will be at 11:30AM followed by a service at 12:30PM. The burial will be at 2:00PM following the service at Our Lady Queen of Peace.
