John W. Powell Jr.

John W. Powell, Jr., 71 of Palm Beach County passed away on November 14, 2016 after a tough battle with cancer. He died peacefully with his devoted family members at his side. He will be remembered for making us all laugh with his jokes. He lived for fishing, boating and time spent with his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband and was the love of our lives. He was one of the greatest most loving men we will ever know and he will be greatly missed. He is preceded by his parents John W. Powell, Sr. & Marie Powell, sister, Karen Lynne Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Linda Powell. Also survived by a brother, Kenneth Powell, his 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. A private service will be held for the family at Palms West Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on November 19, 2016. A celebration of life for friends and family will follow the service at 1:00 p.m. at the family's residence.
