John Lacroix

John P. LaCroix, 59, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2013. John was born January 21, 1954, Bennington, Vermont to Roland and Margaret (Gleason) LaCroix. He attended Mount Anthony High School graduating in 1972. He continued his education at SUNY Cobleskill, Cobleskill, NY graduating in 1976 with a degree in Horticulture. John moved to Florida in 1982 to pursue his career in the horticulture/landscape industry. John loved his sons and family. He was an avid sports fan but had a true love of baseball.. He coached for many years at Okeeheelee Park. One of his great accomplishments was he coached the West Palm Beach Stars and won the 1998 Coopers Town Little League series in Coopers Town, NY. He also had a great appreciation for music, especially blues, but being with his family was what he loved most. He is survived by his mother Margaret LaCroix of Bennington, VT., wife Cynthia of Lantana, FL, children Preston LaCroix and his wife Rebecca of Wellington, FL and Roland LaCroix his fiancée Ginger Pospisle of Asheville, NC, Step-daughter Sarah Carroll of Lantana, brothers Joseph LaCroix and his wife Gloria of Bennington, VT., James LaCroix and wife Rebecca of Reno, NV, Jeffery LaCroix and his wife Laura of Hollis, NH, Andre LaCroix and his wife Kathleen of Loxahatchee, FL, sister Peggy Caron and her husband Dan of Cambridge, NY., Nephews Christopher LaCroix of Boston, Ryan David of Tampa, FL Nieces: Amy Jean LaCroix of Seattle, WA., Maggie Caron of Bennington, VT, Hannah Caron of Cambridge, NY., Kim Geraldo of West Palm Beach, FL., granddaughter Paige Gonzalez , and a vast number of family and friends. He is predeceased by his father Roland LaCroix. A service will be held Friday March 1st at Palms West Funeral Home, Royal Palm Beach from 3pm – 6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations made in John's memory to: Hospice of Palm Beach County.
