John Joseph Bosco

John Joseph Bosco, a steadfast and devoted family man, passed away on May 7, 2026, in Greenacres, Florida. Born on August 31, 1943, in the Bronx, New York, John’s life journey was marked by dedication, hard work, and a heart full of love for his family and friends.

John’s career was rooted in skilled craftsmanship; he worked as an elevator mechanic for over four decades and was a proud member of the elevator union. His commitment to his profession reflected his dependable nature and strong work ethic. Prior to his long-standing career, John served honorably in the United States Army for six years, embodying a blend of toughness and warmth—described often as a hard-core New York Italian on the outside and a big teddy bear on the inside.

Throughout his life, John was known for always ensuring that his loved ones were taken care of, a testament to his generous and caring personality. His family held a special place in his heart, and their presence gave him immense joy and purpose.

John is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Fortunata (Tina) Bosco; his son, John J Bosco; and daughter, Sabrina Bosco Infiesta. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Sean Bosco, Cailyn Infiesta, Emma Infiesta, Ethan Infiesta, Riley Infiesta, and Sophia Infiesta. His brother, Ernie Bosco, along with sisters-in-law Roberta Bosco and Francesca Fontecchio, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to carry forward his legacy of love and strength.

John was preceded in death by his mother Mary Bosco, father Ernest Bosco, and daughter Lisa Bosco.

A visitation will be held on May 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with service starting at 10:30 a.m. at Palms West Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., located at 110 Business Park Way in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Following the services, the burial service will take place at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Wellington, Florida, beginning at 12:30 p.m.

John Joseph Bosco’s life was one of steadfast loyalty—to his country, his craft, and most importantly, his family. His legacy will remain in the hearts of all who knew him, a lasting tribute to a man who balanced strength and kindness with unwavering devotion.
