Joann Schlander

With heavy hearts the families of Joann and Scott Schlander share that they entered heaven together on August 19 in Wellington, Florida. Joann and Scott were married in 1999 and currently resided at the Aero Club in Wellington. They were long time Palm Beach County residents. Joann was born in Hawaii and was 43 years young. She was a financial consultant and Executive in her husband?s company Pestsmart, Inc. She was an active member of the Christian Financial Professionals Network (CFPN), and the CEO of Schlander & Associates Wealth Management. She was a cherished and active member of Christ Fellowship in Royal Palm Beach, and had recently returned from a mission in Montana with her son Ian building houses for World Servants. She was a graduate of the University of Florida, Asian Studies. Scott was born in Montgomery, Alabama and was 40 years young. He was a successful entrepreneur; he owned and ran several local businesses. He was the president and owner of Pestsmart, Inc., as well as the President of the Community Association for the Aero Club in Wellington. He was also an active member of Christ Fellowship in Royal Palm. He was an avid sports enthusiast and coached in the men?s softball league. Joann and Scott are survived by three beautiful children; Joann?s son, Ian Lee (13), and their twin daughters Katie and Nicole (7). They will forever be in their hearts. They will be greatly missed by Joann?s parents, Paz and Roy Voss, her brother and sister-in-law John and Nancy Voss of Alachua, Florida, Scott?s parents, Mary and Dave Schlander, his brother and sister-in-law Mark and Aimee Schlander of Boulder, Colorado; brother and sister-in-law Brian and Mariel Schlander of Tampa, Florida, sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Pat Rice of Superior, Colorado along with many other loving friends and family. Memorial visitation hours are from 4-8 pm., Friday, August, 24, 2007, Palms West Funeral Home 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, 561-753-6004. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am., Saturday, August 25, 2007, Christ Fellowship Chapel, Royal Palm Campus (former Target building) 9905 Southern Blvd. Royal Palm Beach.
