Jewrajie Chattoo (Kamla), 58, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 26, 2018, at her home in Lake Worth, Florida, surrounded by family. She was born December 1st, 1959 in Corentyne Berbice (Village 48), Guyana, to Paul Singh and Delia Persaud. She attended Corentyne Highschool where she received a GCE certificate. She came to the United States in 1979, where she met and married Anand Chattoo in New York City. She moved to West Palm Beach, Florida with her family in 1990. She worked for Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts for over 16 years. Kamla was a devoted wife and mother. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, cooking, and spending time with in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces, and their children. Kamla had an uncanny way of bringing family together through food and laugher. She impacted everyone she met in a positive way. She was a spiritual woman who loved to read the bible, pray, and bring her family to church. She opened her heart and home to many. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, coworkers, and all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Anand Chattoo; children, Raymond, Stephen, and Rebecca; sister, Boudo; brothers, Kedar, Jim, and Joseph. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 am Saturday August 4, 2018 at Palms West Funeral Home (110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411). Pastor Daniel Kyle will officiate.
