Jesus Raul Sardina

Jesus Raúl Sardiña passed away on Saturday, October 7th, 2023 at the age of 60 in his home in Lakeland, Florida. He was better known as Rudy, Rulí, or Raúlito by his family and friends, but his favorite people, his grandchildren, called him Papí. Rudy was born on October 24th, 1962 in Miami, Florida to Jacinto Raúl Sardiña and Coralia Pla Sardiña. Rudy was the life of the party and had a gift of making people feel loved and welcomed. These qualities aided him in becoming a successful salesman. Rudy had many other talents that included drawing, renovating homes, and cooking the best steak. He was an avid lover of Nascar and the Florida State Seminoles, but it was his family that he cherished the most. Rudy is preceded in death by his parents, Jacinto and Coralia Sardiña, and his niece Ellen Cooper. Rudy is survived by his wife, Michelle Catherine Merceri, Lakeland, FL; his children, Deeanna (Justin) Ward, Lakeland, FL, Kristina (Jason) Scott, Live Oak, FL, Jonathan Sardiña, Tallahassee, FL, and Ava Sardiña, Gainesville, FL; his grandchildren, Mattox Ward, Elizabeth Scott, Knox Ward, MaeLee Scott, and twins on the way; his siblings, Maria (Juan) Antuña, Wellington, FL, and Zayda Sardiña Smith, Crawfordville, FL; his nephews, Juan Carlos Antuña II, Roberto Miguel Antuña, and Stephen Cooper III. He is also survived by Mia Sgarlato and many other loved ones.
