JERRY WAYNE PERKINS, 61, of Loxahatchee, Florida was born December 16, 1946 and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 11, 2008. Jerry was born in Clewiston and was the son of G.A. and Marjorie Perkins. He graduated from Belle Glade High School in 1965. After graduating high school, he joined the Army and served for 2 years. He returned to West Palm Beach and married his high school sweetheart, Frances (Collins) Perkins, whom he was married to for 40 years. He was a vegetable farmer for many years in the Belle Glade area and then worked in the road paving industry. He was with Rosso Paving for 15 years. He was a loving husband to Frances (Collins) Perkins. He was a wonderful father to his three children, Vicki Perkins Bordulis, James Todd Perkins, and Karen Perkins Sneed. He was a proud grandfather to his five grandchildren: Kristina, Elisa, Natalie, Jensen, and Evan. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Frances Burke, father-in-law, J.P. Collins, and his brother-in-law, Jerry Collins, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth Perkins and Ralph McCranie. The family will be receiving visitors on Monday, October 13 from 5-7 pm at Palms West Funeral Home and there will be a Memorial Service honoring his life on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Royal Palm Beach.
