Jeannette L. Laquerre, age 91, of Royal Palm Beach, died peacefully on August 25, 2018, at her son's home. She was the wife of the late Simon J. Laquerre. Mrs. Laquerre was born November 6, 1926, in Woonsocket, RI and was the daughter of the late Elphege and Florida (Duquette) Levasseur. She was raised in Westport, CT and graduated from Staples High School. She later moved back to RI where she was employed over 30 years in the office of Jacob Finkelstein & Sons, Inc. in Woonsocket, RI. After leaving RI in 1985 for Royal Palm Beach, FL, she worked in the accounting department of the Palm Beach Post Newspapers, Inc. for 16 years, retiring on June 22, 2001. She is survived by two sons, Robert Laquerre of Royal Palm Beach, FL and John Laquerre of Woonsocket, RI, and a daughter, Paulette (Laquerre) Salois of Harrisburg, PA. She is also survived by ten loving grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Laquerre was also predeceased by three sisters; Sr. Beatrice Levasseur, Doris Mondor and Lorraine Genereux. A communicant of Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Royal Palm Beach, FL, she volunteered as an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary and as a religious education teacher for 11 years. She also volunteered in the parish library. Her funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:30am at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Royal Palm Beach, FL. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, from 6-8pm at Palms West Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church religious education program.
