Jean C. Riche, Jr., age 50, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 22, 1975, at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, Jean was the beloved son of Gene C. Richie and Marie M. Richie. He grew up in South Florida, graduating from Suncoast High School in Riviera Beach, and later attending Florida State University. Jean proudly served his country in the United States Navy from November 1995 to March 1998, earning the National Defense Service Medal for his dedication and service. Following his time in the military, Jean built a career in building maintenance, where his hard work, humor, and positive spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Jean professed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and his faith was a guiding light throughout his life. His love for God shaped the way he cared for others—with compassion, forgiveness, and joy. Those who knew him could see Christ's love reflected in his kindness, humility, and ability to make others laugh even during difficult times. On November 16, 2022, Jean married the love of his life, Amy Charles. Together they shared a deep and joyful bond, grounded in love, laughter, and family. Above all, Jean was a devoted father who loved his children beyond measure. His warmth, wit, and infectious smile brought laughter and light to all who knew him. Jean is survived by his wife, Amy Riche; his daughters, Jasmine C. Stewart (Traveon Stewart) and Amira S. Riche; his parents, Gene C. Richie and Marie M. Richie. He is also survived by his siblings, Gary L. Richie, Lesly D. Richie, Claudine M. Richie, Maegan M. Riche, and Jeffrey A. Riche, as well as many nieces and nephews who cherished their "Uncle Jean." He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jairus L. Riche, who passed away on April 16, 2025. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 12:00 p.m. at Palms West Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery. Floral tributes may be sent directly to Palms West Funeral Home. Above all, Jean will be remembered for his love of family, his unwavering kindness, and his ability to make others smile even on their hardest days. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. "Some souls bring joy wherever they go; his laughter and love will echo in our hearts forever."
