James William Simmons

James W. Simmons of West Palm Beach, Florida, went to be with the Lord August 17th, 2018, born in Austin, Texas on January 31st, 1950. Graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and then signing up to go into the United States Air Force in 1969 and was Honorably Discharged in 1989 as a Tech Sargent. He was survived by his wife Mary Jane Simmons of 46 years of marriage, whom he married while Serving his Country in the United States Air Force, stationed in Alconbury, Huntingdon UK. Also survived by his mother Zora Ward Simmons of Dallas, Texas. Sister: Linda Brandon of Dallas, Texas.Brother: Thomas Ray Simmons of West Palm Beach, Richard Simmons of Dallas, Texas. Sister: Laura Burnett of Terrell, Texas and Brother: Douglas Simmons of Dallas, Texas. Step Children: with whom he loved as his own: Mary Simmons, Roseanna Mata, Manuel Esparza, Francisco Esparza and Bernadette Hils., his daughters & sons in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nephews & nieces. James was a loving son, brother, husband , father ,grand-father and a loyal friend to so many others. After retiring 1989, after 20 years of Service he moved back home to Austin, Texas, with his wife and five step children and then moved with his brother: Thomas R. Simmons to Dallas, Texas for over 28 years and then moved along with his family to West Palm Beach Florida. He then went to Florida Career Collage and received an Associates Degree in Business Management, at the age of 67 yrs old. Was currently employed at Publix, in Wellington,FL. James (JIM) loved to watch Nascar Racing , Dallas Cowboys and listening to Elvis Presley and enjoyed fishing trips with the family. Loved ones attending, will have the opportunity to write a message to give to him. James Simmons will have a full Military funeral at South Florida National Cemetery, date to be announced.
