James E. Odoardi

WELLINGTON, FL- James E. Odoardi, 91, died peacefully at his home Friday, March 8, 2019 following a brief illness. Jim is survived by his wife of 72 years, Louise (Vecchio) Odoardi; his son Jim Odoardi (Anne); his daughter in law Nancy Odoardi; his grandsons, Jamie Odoardi (Alyssa), Jay Odoardi (Allison); his granddaughter Kristen Bixby (Steve); his brother Richard Odoardi (Joyce); 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his son Robert Odoardi, his parents James and Rose (DiBennedetto) Odoardi, four sisters, Antoinetta DeRosa, Florence Mercurio, Emma Tritto and Anna Fulcino and a brother, Robert Odoardi. Born and raised in East Boston, MA, Jim became an expert craftsman while making his living as a masonry foreman. After retiring to Florida he transferred his talents into completing projects for his family. Every family member has a piece of his craftsmanship in their home, be it an entertainment center, a tiled backsplash, or a custom built dollhouse. His generosity did not end with his work. He was a caretaker in every sense of the word. He looked after his siblings, protected his wife, and most of all enjoyed the company of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jim was equally loved and respected by everyone who knew him and will be remembered for his kind heart, big smile and generous spirit. He left this earth having no regrets. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance Monday, March 25, 2019 from 6-8 PM at the Palms West Funeral Home 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL. A Mass in celebration of Jim's life will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Therese De Lisieux 11800 Lake Worth Road, Wellington, FL.
