James F. Janson, 51, of Boynton Beach, Florida, formerly of Elgin, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2009, after a courageous battle with invasive melanoma. Jim was born on August 6, 1958, in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He was a graduate of Larkin High School, Elgin, Illinois, and a graduate of the University of West Florida, Pensacola, Florida, with a degree in computer science, and his career was primarily focused on IT management and software systems focused on the oil industry. Jim was a bright, fun-loving person who brought kindness and laughter to all. Jim was dearly loved and will be missed by his wife, Miriam Padilla; his two daughters, Megan and Jessica; his parents, Richard and Paula (Hansen) Janson, of Hampshire, Illinois; his four siblings, Beth (Mark) Florence, Jo Ann Herold, Michael (Julie) Janson, Lisa (Warren) Riedl; his step-children, Elidia (Tyler) Reeves and Daniel (Amanda) Perez; his step-grandchildren, Daniel and Olivia; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many new and long-time friends. A funeral service will be held 1:30 PM on Monday, December 28th, 2009 at Palms West Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Cemetery.
