James Harold Cooke Jr

James Harold "Jimmy" Cooke, Jr of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on Wednesday, June 4th after a courageous battle with metastatic pancreatic cancer. Born on Staten Island, NY Jimmy grew up in South Beach. He graduated from New Dorp High School and then attended Brooklyn Technical College, earning an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts. He worked as a chef in numerous restaurants in Staten Island, Manhattan, Georgia and South Florida. Jimmy was a talented singer and songwriter and was in several bands in his teenage years into early adulthood. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Zerbo Monforte Cooke; son, James Christian Cooke; stepchildren: Serena Monforte, CJ and Elizabeth Monforte, Sarah Jane (Monforte) and John Boscarino; step grandchildren, Dylan Wasson, Sophia Stricker, Denny Stricker, Lilly, Isabella, John Vincent, Eric and Cole Boscarino; siblings, Steven Cooke and his wife Susan, Pamela Maklari, Phillip Cooke and his wife Michelle, Suzanne Cooke Petit and her husband Jeff; and stepmother, Patricia Cooke. He was preceded in death by his father, James Harold Cooke , Sr and mother, Mildred Ivy Riddle Cooke.
