Jacqueline Susan Lewis, 80, of Lake Worth, passed peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017. Born in Guntersville, Alabama March 18, 1937 she is the daughter of Ira Dill James and Crin Susan Coffee. In a family of 3 brothers and 4 girls, she knew the importance of hard work and education winning spelling bees whenever she could. In high school she won membership in The National Beta Club for outstanding character and achievement in 1955. And was part of the Women's Club in Palm Beach county in the 60's. In the late 50's Jackie moved to West Palm Beach, Fla, eventually meeting and marrying Francis "Frank" James Drake and starting a family. Together they had 2 beautiful daughters: Suzanne and Carol. Love was never lost, marrying two great men Ray Howard, deceased; and years later Rabe Lewis, deceased. In her eyes this only made her family larger, and her love for those around her bigger. She was never without the photographs she kept at her bedside, her family and friends were with her always. She worked hard at everything she did, always kind and generous to anyone. She made time for her faith in God, friends and family; she was loved by all who met her. She will be greatly missed. "Mom, I will miss you telling me you love me. I will always still tell you that I love you to the moon and back, and all the granules of sand in the world. That's how much I love you." Jacqueline is survived by her daughter Suzanne Walker, son-in-law Robert Walker, and granddaughter Jennifer Walker. Her viewing will be held at Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach, Fla. on Saturday October 7th at 6:00pm for friends and family. The service, conducted by Pastor Stephen K. Wipperman of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Lake Worth, Florida, will begin at 7:00 pm.
