Jacqueline Lelay

Jacqueline Jeanne Lelay, 98, "Jackie", of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away peacefully at her home on March 27, 2023 after a brief illness. Jackie was born on December 30, 1924 in Cambes (lot-et- Garonne), France to Jacques and Cecile Fernande Simounet. Jackie made a career in production for Estee Lauder for 25 years while residing in Islip, NY. Upon retirement, Jackie made her way to Boynton Beach, where she met many loving neighbors, to whom she became like a grandmother. When Jackie turned 90, she eventually settled in West Palm Beach, FL, where she was a beloved member of the Century Village community. She truly cherished time with dear friends. Birds and flowers were Jackie's passions. She surrounded herself with various orchid varieties, many different indoor and outdoor flowers and plants, as well as her beloved bird, Pepe. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Guy, and by her daughter, Christiane, and is survived by her granddaughters Angelique and Natalie, nephew Mike (granddaughter Syrah)and sons Jonathan, Robert and James, nephews Bobby (Randi and kids Tyler, Jessica and Jonathan), Danny (Barbara and daughter Jennifer), and Bernard(Barbara and daughters Carrie and Elisha), as well as many other nieces and nephews. A family visitation will be held at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, FL on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 9-10:30am, with the service to follow from 10:30-11:00. Burial will follow at Boynton Beach Memorial Park located at 1611 S. Seacrest Blvd. at 12 noon.
