Jack W. Pinder Jr., 66, died April 23, 2011, with his wife by his side in West Palm Beach, Florida. A mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, April 28th, at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. It will be followed by a graveside service at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. He was born March 9, 1945, in Miami to Jack and Kathleen Pinder. Jack spent his summers down in the Florida Keys and Spring breaks in Sky Valley, Georgia. He graduated from Curley High School in 1963. He attended and graduated college at Miami-Dade Junior College where he met his wife, Florence, in the Newman Club. Following graduation he and Florence were married. He then went on to graduate from Florida Atlantic University in 1971. He was an active member of Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church and was active in teaching The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) classes. His interests included family, reading, boating, playing the Wii, eating Southern fried food and Oreos. Jack is survived by his wife, Florence; sister, Carol Anne Richard; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Brian Lum Shue Chan; son and daughter-in-law, Jack (Woody) and Cindy Pinder; and 7 grandchildren. Jack found much joy in working with children and computers in his position at Greenacres Elementary.
