Iris Jane Ruback

Iris Jane Ruback, age 65, passed away November 7, 2013 in West Palm Beach Florida after a long battle with Pick's Disease. Iris was born on August 31, 1945 in Boston Massachusetts to Shirley and Louis Rubin. Iris grew up in Boston with her parents and sister, Carol, attending high school and Hebrew College in her hometown. Iris married Sumner Ruback, Sonny, to his friends, on May 26, 1968 in Boston, where they started their family. Both their sons, Harvey and Scott, were born in Boston as well. In 1978, Iris and her family moved to Coral Springs, FL, joining the extended family. Iris lived in South Florida for the rest of her life, eventually retiring to the Rehab Center of the Palm Beaches, 4 years ago. Here, the staff took great care of her and her husband during this difficult time. Iris leaves behind her loving husband, 2 sons, and 5 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 10th at Palms West Funeral Home. Her family will be receiving guests following the memorial service until 4:30 p.m. in the Crystal Room at *Fountainview, Sonny's apartment complex. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice of Palm Beach County. * Fountainview is located at 111 Executive Center Dr, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. When you enter the complex, follow the signs to the Welcome Center, which is on the far side of the complex from the entrance. Walking up the main path past the Welcome Center, the Main Dining Room will be on your right. Enter the Main Dining Room and walk towards the back and the Crystal Room will be on your left hand side.
