West Palm Beach, --- Irene E. Simard Jerpe (nee Goulet) age 92 of West Palm Beach, was called home to her Lord Jesus on December 1, 2014. She was born in Manchester, NH June 23, 1922 to the late Joseph and Fabiola (Bouchard) Goulet. She was predeceased by her first husband of 47 years, Maurice E. Simard and one sister, Rita E. (Goulet) Butler. She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Leo Jerpe. Irene's life took her to many parts of the country. She lived in New Hampshire, Connecticut, California, Florida and resided in Canada for a while, as well. She devoted her life to being an awesome homemaker, loving mother and wife. Irene was an unyielding competitor at board games and playing cards. She also loved to decorate her home especially for Christmas. She loved the holidays and Christmas was her favorite. Her later years were spent enjoying travel and cruises. She really enjoyed being with her family and loved it when her out of state children and grandchildren would come to visit. She is also survived by four sons and one daughter; Ronald M. Simard of New Britain, CT and his wife Patricia, Maurice E. Simard Jr. and his wife Lucy of Windham, CT, Stephen G. Simard and his wife Sarah of Bellingham, WA, Rickey J. Simard of North Palm Beach, Fl, and his partner Robin Irving and daughter Darlene B. Ebersold and her husband, Mark of Lake Worth, Florida. She is also survived by her step son Kris Jerpe and his wife Jean and their daughter Inga. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Joshua of Colorado, Nicholas of CT, Sky and Tiffany of WA and Justin of Texas and two step grandsons Mark Jr. and Rick Ebersold of FL. She also has several great grandchildren, step grandchildren and numerous nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County Services: Her home-going celebration will be held on December 13, 2014 at 10:00 am. at Palms West Funeral Home 110 Business Parkway Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 There will be a reception following the funeral. The celebration will be performed by Pastor Jon Enter from Hope Lutheran Church where she was a member for several years.
