Ian Matthew Rodgers

Ian Matthew Rodgers (Matt) left this world suddenly on November 23, 2021. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 22, 1967. He graduated in 1985 from Taravella High School, Coral Springs. Florida, and attended Florida Atlantic University. Matt was a Florida Licensed Certified General Contractor and owner/operator of his own business, Rodgers Refrigeration, LLC. He specialized in HVAC, (residential and commercial), refrigeration and unique wine cellar installations from Miami Dade to St. Lucie County. Matt enjoyed hunting, fishing, cycling, scuba diving, horseback riding, and being around all types of wildlife. He was multi-talented, softly spoken, quick-witted, and had a grin that would delight any who "got him". He was devoted to applying his skills to improve the lives of those he loved and served. He is survived by his son Dustin J. Rodgers-Vanwyke (Hiram, GA), father Frank J. Rodgers, mother Naomi R. Rodgers, (Wellington, FL), loving companion Linda Stewart (Jupiter, FL), and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He will be sorely missed by his many clients who characterize him as honest, skilled, dependable, and kind. Family and friends are mourning the loss and the comfort of his gentle presence and strong soul. This was made so much more acutely painful by his untimely death.
