Humbert Hope Valentine Evans was born on September 30, 1944 to parents Benjamin and Leana Evans. He was the only child for his parents. He attended Gainsted high school in Kingston, Jamaica. After receiving his diploma, he worked in the retail industry. In 1968 Humbert migrated to the United States to reunite with his then girlfriend, Sadie who became his wife in 1969. The marriage produced two lovely boys Mark and Michael. Val as he was called by everyone, worked for Metro North Railroad for 37 years. He lived in Co-op City in the Bronx during the majority of those years. After retiring, he relocated to Florida in 2011. He had a green thumb which he enjoyed planting different things and watching them grow. He was very handy and loved to fix everything throughout the house. He also enjoyed watching TV. Val is survived by his wife Sadie, his Brother-in-law Bancroft, Sister in-law Sharon, and his Daughter Sharon, Stepdaughter Michelle, Daughter-in -law Aliah and his Sons Mark, Michael, Arnett and Garfield as well as several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Family and Friends. Val We Love You! You will be truly missed. Sleep in perfect peace.
