Hilda Lia Gumucio, age 93 of Royal Palm Beach, passed away on October 28th, 2021. She was born on March 21st, 1928, in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and was the youngest of five children born to Maria Quiroga and Gregorio Paz. She grew up in Cochabamba and attended secretarial school at the Instituto Americano. She met her husband, Juan Gumucio, in Cochabamba, and they were married in 1953. Juan passed away in January of 2013. They had two sons, Nelson and Cesar, and they moved together as a family to the United States to Blue Springs, Missouri, in 1963. In 1992, Hilda and Juan retired to Royal Palm Beach, Florida, where their son Nelson and family lived. Hilda was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church. She cherished time spent with her family and enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends. She is remembered as a caring neighbor and friend, and a loving and hard-working mother and grandmother. Hilda is survived by her two sons Nelson and Cesar; daughter-in-law Cindy; four grandchildren Tatiana, Leah, Lauren, and Celina; four grandsons-in-law Ross, Tyler, Chris, and Ray; and five great grandchildren Charlotte, Madeline, Beckett, Katherine, and Oliver. She was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, daughter-in-law Carola, and her husband Juan. A church service will be held on a date to be determined.
