Hilda Boyd

Hilda ?Son? Boyd, husband of Glenda (Jones) Boyd passed away Tuesday April 24, 2007 peacefully at home. Hilda was born in Floralhomes, FL on June 29, 1926. He was the son of the late Charles H. and Queen Ester Boyd. His passion was gardening. He was employed as a construction laborer for 33 years with labor union 767, and at the time of retirement was foreman of Norman Berg Construction. He was a member of Acreage Pines Community Church where he was baptized on June 26, 2005 under the pastorate of Dennis Caldwell. He was predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers and 5 sisters, 1 son, Richard L. Boyd, Sr., and 1 step-grandson. Mr. Boyd is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Ainetta Glenda (Jones) Boyd, his one son James Calvin Boyd of Coral Springs, one daughter-in-law Shirley Boyd-Johnson of Millville, New Jersey, 4 grandchildren: Brenda M. Hill, Crystal Mooring, Richard L. Boyd, Jr., and Barbara Morgan all of New Jersey, 21 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and very devoted friends that loved him dearly. His favorite scripture was Psalms 23, ?The Lord is my Sheppard I shall not want? which was being read by his devoted daughter-in-law Shirley Boyd-Johnson (William D. Johnson) at his time of death.
