Helen Ogorek, 63, of Wellington, FL., passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2008. Born in Germany, she was the daughter of Mykyta and Kateryna Strotshuk. She grew up in the Chicago area and was a proud graduate of the University of Illinois. Helen married her college sweetheart, Jim, together they moved to Wellington in 1979. After raising her children, she returned to work at the Palm Beach Post as a clerk and writer. During her life she enjoyed traveling, reading, fishing, her children and grandchildren. Helen?s memory will be cherished by her loving husband of 40 years, James Ogorek; children, Jennifer (Peter) Hungerbuhler and Paul (Belinda) Ogorek; sister, Nadia (Jack) Fisher; grandchildren, Allison, Parker, Bradley, Kiersten and Brooke. She was pre-deceased by her parents and sister, Mary Rogachuk. A memorial celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2008 from 10-12 pm at Palms West Funeral Home, with a service beginning at 11:30 am.
