Helen Carol (Streno) Johns (1961-2026)
Helen Carol (Streno) Johns, 65, of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22nd 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 4th 1961 in Detroit Michigan and spent over 40 years of her life as a loving Home Daycare Provider. Above all else, she was known and cherished as Grammy—a social butterfly with a big heart and the family’s chief fun officer. Energetic, creative, and stylish, she had a wonderful way of bringing people together and making every moment more fun. She wanted everyone around her to be enjoying themselves and was always making sure that nobody was bored, left out, or without a reason to smile. Her love for family, her joyful spirit, and her ability to create lasting memories will forever be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Craig Johns; her kitten, Daisy Johns; her children, Jason Johns (Marrissa), and Danielle Vallee; her grandchildren, Ashlyn, Madison, Gracyn, Ethan, and Waylon; her brother, John Michael Streno (Eva); her sisters, Karen Shay, and Lisa Merchant (Clarence); and her beloved mother, Helen “Nanny” Streno.
She was preceded in death by her father, John “Boompa” Streno, and her brother-in-law George Shay.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 29th 2026, from 3pm to 5pm at Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Casual attire okay. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to children’s charities such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
