Helen Edith Pierce Deisch - 07/08/1918-12/04/2018 She was born in Kokomo, Indiana, the third child of five, to Reed Pierce and Gladys Armstrong Pierce. Her father was a General Contractor of churches and homes. She graduated from Kokomo High School in 1937. In 1939 she married James Otis Deisch of Galveston, Indiana and they moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, later relocating to Lake Worth, Florida. Together they had two children, a son, John Michael and a daughter Sue. She became a cosmetologist and owned and operated Helene's Beauty Salon on Lake Avenue in Lake Worth. She was very active in the First Baptist Church of Lake Worth, Eastern Star and D.A.R., and was a past Grand Officer of Eastern Star. After retirement, she and her husband Jimmie moved to Okeechobee, Florida in 1983. She served as Church Clerk of Buckhead Ridge Baptist Church and taught a Sunday school class of adult women. After eight years she retired as Church Clerk but continued to teach her Sunday school class for many years. She loved God and was a devoted Christian. She was an active member of the Seminole Chapter, NSDAR, but became a member at large to help organize the Okeechobee Chapter. She was an organizing member and served as the first Vice Regent. She enjoyed writing entertaining readings and was often invited, to give them, by her Church and other organizations. Her husband Jimmie and son John preceded her in death and in 2003 she moved to Royal Palm Beach, Florida to be near all of her family, where she lived until her death. She is survived by her daughter Sue McMahon (Robert). Grandchildren: Christy Peterson (Mark), Tracy Grant (Manoj Patel), Rebecca Ezell (Michael), Lynda Walker (Edward) and Robert J. McMahon. Great-Grandchildren: David Breton, Christopher Fitton, Heather Lukens, Kyle Peterson, Ryan Fitton, Brittany Walker, Sebastian Grant, Alexander Grant and Edward Walker, Jr., and one Great-Great Granddaughter Averly Lukens, as well as several nieces and nephews. Dearly loved, she will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
