H. Jean Tarr

Jean Tarr, 88, our beloved mom, grandma and great grandma passed away on November 12, 2015. She was a long time resident of West Palm Beach, FL. Jean was born on July 25, 1927, the daughter of the late Glen and Jewell Wood. Jean was raised in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the widow of Harve "Bill" Tarr. Jean loved her flowers and orchids. If anyone had a question about a plant or orchid, they could always rely on Jean having the answer. For many years she attended Palm Springs Baptist Church but within the last two years she found her new Christian home at Florida Gardens Baptist Church where she was loved by many. A few of her employers over her lifetime included the U.S. Army and Navy, FAA in Oklahoma, the U. S. Postal Service and the Palm Beach Sheriffs office. Jean's greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind the legacy of a beautiful family who adored her and many friends who clearly loved her as well. She is survived by a son, Courtney Michael Hudson (Anita), daughter Edina Jean Terry and step-son Lance Tarr (Deb). She had five beautiful grandchildren and three beautiful great grandchildren. A viewing will be held at the Palms West Funeral Home on Thursday, November 19 at 10 AM with homegoing services beginning at 11 AM.
