GWENDOLINE Hendricks, (aka Gwenie) was born on December 28th, 1932 to the parents of the late Frederick and Ena Clarke of Georgetown Guyana, she was the fourth child of seven children three brothers and three sisters. Gwenie grew up in New Amsterdam Berbice and attended Mission Chapel School, then returned to Georgetown where she attended Sacred Heart Catholic School. Gwendoline, was the mother of four children, three boys, Anthony, Winslow, Andre and the late Michell Hendricks. She migrated to the United States of America in 1996 to join her son Anthony in New Jersey. Gwendoline, was very religious and was a baptized member of Truth Center for Higher Consciousness for many years. She was a member of the church choir, and volunteered her time in several church activities. Gwenie, was a very hard-working mother, and a fiercely dedicated mom to all her children and grandchildren. Family came first above all else. She inspired them to accomplish their goals, along with some good licks. " Da woman can beat". The values that she instilled in us will live on forever. Gwendoline, enjoyed singing, dancing, walking, entertaining, cooking and dressing. She had a warm welcoming personality, she lit up every room with her infectious laughter and smile. She was loved by everyone. Gwendoline was described as "Mommy" to many of the neighborhood children. After a brief illness, Gwendoline Hendricks departed this earth on September 4th, 2022 to be with her Saviour. She leaves to mourn: her children Anthony Hendricks (Loraine), Val Winslow Barnwell (Yvette), Andre Hendricks (Shelly). Sisters: Yvonne Fowler (Peter), Monica Wellington (Fredrick). Brothers: Lancel Clark (Evelyn), Charles Clark (Patricia). Grandchildren: Shevonne, Lavern, Randy, Troy, Andrew, Curtis, Roslyn, Ashana, Tiana, Trevonne, Melroy, Jermious, Kareson, Keeshaun, Melissa and Ashana. Great Grandchildren: De Andrea, Xzasha, Brittney, Imani, Tiana, Jada, Katelyn, Kurt Jr. Nahmir, Rashawn, Sophia, Trenton, Carter and others, Great Great Grandchildren: Jordon, Kyrie, Ezra, Riley, and others. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. "May the value she instilled live in our hearts forever" .
