Guillermo J. De La Rionda, Sr. Rionda "Kiki" Guillermo Jose De La Rionda, 87, left his earthly home to his heavenly home to join his family and friends who have preceded him. Son of Dr. and Zoila De La Rionda, Guillermo was born in Sagua La Grande Cuba, a place he always called 'home.' His span of influence extended into Puerto Rico and his US home; the Glades, Wellington and the Acreage. Sr. Rionda retired from Florida Crystals after a lifelong career in the Sugar industry. Whether you knew Sr. Rionda or knew someone who knew him, his genuine respect for all was his greatest gift. Guillermo is preceded in death by his three beloved sisters, Sylvia, Elsa and Aida and survived by his sister Zoila Cuello and former wife, Sylvia Stacholy. For all who knew Sr. Rionda, his greatest joy was in his son, Guillermo Bernardo and daughter-in-law, Lisa and his greatest pride was with his grandson, Jonathan Guillermo and wife Jamie. Kiki and his grandson were inseparable as Jonathan was the light of his life. As the Patriarch of the De La Rionda family, Sr. Rionda leaves behind his beloved nephews and nieces and their spouses and children to carry out the rich Cuban traditions he so endlessly embraced. Kiki was an icon among the young and old. He was surrounded by life's greatest pleasures and transformed life's daily routines into a family celebrating his love for cooking and fine wine. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 2 PM to 4 PM at Palms West Funeral Home, Royal Palm Beach, FL.
