Age 73 of West Palm Beach, FL passed away June 2, 2007. She was born in Kaiserslautern, West Germany, a daughter of Erna and Hugo Wolf. She was selected as ?Miss Pfalz Carmen? in 1951 for the state of Rheinland-Pfalz, West Germany. She married U.S.Air Force first lieutenant Richard T. Boverie in 1957. Gudrun, who became a U.S. citizen, and her husband lived in various locations in the United States and Europe, including in turn Germany, Michigan, California, Alabama, Belgium, Virginia and Florida. She received and official Certificate of Appreciation from the Chief of Staff of the U..S. Air Force, General Lew Allen, upon the occasion of her husband?s Air Force retirement as a major general. General Allen noted her ?unselfish, faithful and devoted service.? Also, she was invited to meet with President Ronald Reagan on the occasion of the completion of her husband?s service on the National Security Council staff at the White House. Gudrun is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard; their daughter, Virginia Hall; three grandchildren; and her brothers Reinhold Wolf and Horst Wolf. Her sister Isolde Wagner predeceased her. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 7, 2007 from 1-2:30 P.M. with a funeral service at 2:30P.M. at Palms West Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Bch., FL 33407.
