Gregory "Greg" Monaco, aged 72, passed away on June 9, 2024 in Riviera Beach, FL. He was born on June 18, 1951, in Chicago. Greg attended Ripon College and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois Chicago. He later earned his Master's in Divinity from Trinity Divinity School. He dedicated his entire career to Youth for Christ as a youth minister, where he was passionate about reaching young people and introducing them to the love of Jesus. Greg was devoted to his family, always encouraging spiritual growth no matter where you were on the journey. He is survived by his loving wife Gayle, son Jason Monaco (Elizabeth), and his grandchildren Alexander, Megan, Charlotte, and Whitney. He is also survived by his brother Gene Monaco (Leslie), and sisters Madeleine Monaco and Marcia Bletsch (Steve). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jodie Zeilinga and his brother, Garry Monaco. His love of his family and his unwavering faith were the cornerstones of his life. Greg will be remembered for his compassion for people, his dedication to his faith, and his tireless efforts to make a difference in the lives of young people. His legacy of faith will continue to inspire those who knew him. Cremation has taken taken place. A memorial service will be held on July 13, 2024 at the Willow Creek Chapel (67 Algonquin Road, South Barrington, IL) at 2 pm.
