Gloria G. Loys, 84, of Royal Palm Beach, died Thursday. She was born in Havana, Cuba on October 31, 1929. And attended Escuela Normal de Kindergarten, where she received a degree in early education. She married Emilio Loys on November 18, 1950. As the youngest of five children, she was often spoiled, which continued in her 55 year marriage to the love of her life. In 1961, Emilio and Gloria immigrated to El Salvador, where they raised their three children. They loved to travel, dance and spend time with their extensive group of friends. In 1984, they retired to Miami, Florida where they continued to enjoy life, close to their children and grandchildren. They moved to Palm Beach County in 2000. Throughout her life Gloria was an avid painter and dabbled in other creative arts. She enjoyed playing Parcheesi. She volunteered in 2005-2008. And she had a strong devotion to the Virgin Mary. She loved to learn and often took classes to expand her knowledge of the world. She is predeceased by her husband Emilio (Aug. 9, 2005). She is survived by her daughter Yolanda Ulibarri and husband Rogelio Ulibarri of Wellington; son Raul Loys and wife Liane Loys of Miami; and Gloria Moran of Miami. And her brother Rodolfo Nogueira of Lawrenceville, N.J. She is also survived by her grandchildren Pilar Ulibarri de Rivera (Cesar Rivera) of Wellington; Javier Ulibarri of Wellington, Raul Loys, Jr., Lillian Cristina Loys, and Mariana Loys of Miami; Alberto Moran (Carla Orrs) and Emilio Moran (Jackie Moran) of Los Angeles. Also, she is survived by her five great-grandchildren and a host of beloved family members and friends, whom she touched with her love. A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Rita's Catholic Church, followed by a burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach.
