Gloria "Nellie" Lloyd

Gloria Louise Lloyd was born to Charles and Rose Kerr on June 27, 1931, in James Hill, Clarendon, Jamaica. She was the last of four siblings, all of who proceeded her in death. "Nellie", as she was more popularly called, left James Hill after completing elementary and high school, for Kingston. She worked as a store clerk with Hannah and Son's, where she met in married Cassell Lloyd in 1957. She then joined the staff of Jamaica Omnibus service (J.O.S) in 1960 and worked for 22 years. She retired to take care of her ailing mom who died in 1982. In 1985, she went to Grand Cayman where she lived and worked for six years before returning to Jamaica in 1991. In 1985 she made her choice to serve the Lord in truth and lived faithfully to the end. In 1992, she left Jamaica to join her daughters and family in New York and in 2003 relocated with her younger daughter to West Palm Beach until her passing on November 6. Nellie was loved and will be missed by those who knew her. She has left to mourn her beloved daughters; Nichole and Michelle; Son-in-law, John; Grandchildren, Asheal, Robert, Jordon, Shamel, Serene, Kristen, Janiel, Derick, and Dwayne; Grandsons-in-law, Louis and Jairo; Great-grandchildren, Shellena, Jianna, Damian, Amayiah, Elias, Aaliyah, Alanah, Isaiah, Grace, Kamila and Leilani; Nieces, Cecille, Josephine, and Janice; Nephews, Fritz and Michael. A host of many grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, cousins, and her family from the meetings and friends.
