Gloria Diaz (1950-2025) was a very caring and loving person who felt her mission on earth was to help those in need. Born in rural Dominican Republican, she was 16 when she immigrated to the United States. Married, but later divorced, she had her only son, Marc Andrew Alix, whom she lost just 6 months prior to her own passing. As a single mother, she pursued her passion of helping others and attended CUNY Queens College to earn a BA in Social Services. She worked for Children Services in NYC and later continued in West Palm Beach until her retirement. In retirement, she continued her mission of aiding, even when it put her own welfare at risk. She financially helped family and childhood friends as well as about 10 non-profit organizations all the while raising her cherished goats. She is survived by siblings - Lucy Diaz Perez, Miguel Diaz, Santo Diaz, Julia Diaz Torres, Rhadames Diaz, Angela Chiaino, granddaughter - Gabriella Alix and several nieces and nephews. Gloria has left an unfillable void in our hearts and this world. She will be sorely missed by family, friends and neighbors.
