Gladys Espallargas

Gladys Justina Espallargas, 90, passed away on September 24, 2017, in the loving presence of her daughters. She was born on September 25, 1926 in Palma Soriano, Cuba. She was predeceased by her husband, Aleydo Espallargas; her brother, Julian Fernandez; and parents Julian Fernandez de Mar and Gloria Ruiz de Fernandez. She was a graduate of the University of Havana School of Dentistry in Cuba before moving to the United States where she worked as a special education teacher in the Glades until her retirement. She is survived by her sister, Justina Fernandez de Lage; her daughters, Maria Perez De Alejo and Gloria Rodriguez; her grandchildren, Francisco (Frankie) Rodriguez, his wife Priscana, Luis Julian Rodriguez, Pablo (P.J) Perez de Alejo, his wife Alicia, Carlos Perez de Alejo, his wife Maya, and Karina Perez de Alejo. As well as Ava and Juliana Rodriguez, her great granddaughters. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother. A selfless, generous person who would help anyone in need.
