Gisela Natalie Meade

On August 2nd, 2010, at 6:30 PM, Gisela Natalie Meade transitioned from her earthly pain, and her spirit soared with the angels she loved, after valiantly fighting lung cancer on her own terms. Gigi, as she was known to the multitude of friends and colleagues, passed in the tender care of Hospice of Palm Beach County, and under the gentle nurturing of her caregivers, Beth Kline and Laura Freseman. Gisela's memory will be cherished by her sons, Jonathan and Michael; sister, Amy (Charles) Heywang; nephew, Chris (Jessica) Heywang along with their children, Kyle, Jenna and Ryan; and her beloved companion Demon Dog. She was predeceased by her spouse, James R Meade; parents, Larry and Josie (Spierer) Kupersmith; and her nephew Patrick Heywang. Gigi graduated from Coral Gables Senior High and attended Miami Dade Junior College for a short time. Gigi and James founded and ran J.M. Sales, both in Miami and Lakeland, Florida. She was fiercely independent and very spiritual in her own way, a tremendous lover of life, both animal and human, and also very charitable, being one who championed many causes. A memorial gathering will be held from 12 – 1 PM on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Palms West Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 1 PM. A celebration of her life will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Gisela's name to a charity of your choice.
