Gerald Charles Carsillo, Jr.

Gerald Charles Carsillo, Jr. was born in Newark, New Jersey to Gerald Sr. and Florence Carsillo. He grew up in East Orange, New Jersey until his family relocated to Florida.

He graduated from Riviera Beach High School and joined the Riviera Beach Fire Department in 1964. Over a distinguished career of nearly three decades, he rose through the ranks and served as an Assistant Fire Chief until his retirement in 1992.

In 1966, he became the proud father of identical twins, Mark and Michael, who will miss him dearly.

In his spare time, Gerald loved tinkering around his longtime home of more than 50 years, taking on repair and improvement projects. He also enjoyed traveling with family, especially to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley, and his older brother Donald Carsillo, Sr.

He is survived by his sons, Mark and Michael; his sister, Sandra Hamilton; his grandson, Connor; and an extended family that includes his stepfamily, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
