George A. Vieira

April 16, 1947 — June 15, 2024

We bid farewell to our father George A. Vieira who departed from this world on June 15th, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born in Vila Agua de Pau, Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal on April 16, 1947. At the age of 13 he migrated and settled to Montreal, Canada with his father Jose Vieira, mother Maria de Lurdes Cabral, brothers Manuel, Jose, sister Maria and his Canadian born bothers Steven and Robert. Through letters he maintained contact with his teen age love and married Fernanda Torres Vieira in Bristol, RI on1969. They eventually settled in New Bedford, MA in 1970 and fathered their oldest son Gary Vieira and daughter Sandra Classen while working for the Titleist company. In 1987 the family settled in Boynton Beach, FL and pursued a career with Dunkin Donuts franchises. George continued to work in the food industry for Maro-a- Largo resort and BallenIsles country club until retirement. George loved to golf, play cards, tell stories, swim, talk politics, go on cruises, watch sports and play bocce ball. You would always catch him with a smile, he loved to joke around and laugh with others. He was a hard worker, loyal, dedicated husband, a catholic father, provider and a friend to many. He loved his grandchildren Logan Classen and Kaitlyn Classen. Everything was always fine, and he never showed any pain. His absence leaves a void in the hearts of many. To commemorate his remarkable life and memories we cherished, a service will be held at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles church on July 6th, 2024. At 10:00 a.m. 100 Crestwood Blvd S, Royal Palm Beach, Fl 33411. We welcome all who knew him to join us in celebrating the life of a man who was loved deeply and will be missed.
