George A. Smith III

George Agnew Smith III was born on July 29, 1943, in Providence, Rhode Island to Angela England Smith and George Agnew Smith Jr. George grew up in his early years in St Louis, Missouri and Iowa where his dad attended Iowa University. He later moved to Miami, Florida in 1950, where he attended school in Hialeah, Florida. He graduated from Hialeah High School where he met “The Love Us His Life,” Patricia Parise. They had been married 59 years. George attended RETS Electronic School and graduated from Florida International University with a BS in Education. He was a proud Navy veteran serving 4 years in Vietnam. He was employed by BellSouth (AT&T) for 32 years before retiring. After retiring, he devoted many years feeding the homeless and helping with St Vincent de Paul. He was a member of the Knights of Colombus (8419) and a member of the Marriage Ministry of Wellington, Florida. George was also a member of the CCW (Communications Workers of America). He loved his God, family, and friends. He was a kind and generous man and will be greatly missed.

George was survived by a brother, Patrick B. Smith of Delray Beach, Florida, his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia Parise Smith of Lake Worth, Florida, his children Shawn Patrick Smith (Stacey) of Boynton Beach, Florida and Shannon Lynn Sniffen (James) of Lake Worth, Florida, his grandchildren, Shawn Michael Smith (Melissa) of Lake Worth, Florida, Charles (Charlie) Christopher Smith (Rama) of Boynton Beach, Florida, Alyssa Gabrielle Smith of Jacksonville, Florida, Nicholas James Sniffen of Lake Worth, Florida, his great-grandchildren Zella Rose Smith of Lake Worth, Florida and Waylen Michael Smith of Lake Worth, Florida.
