George "Ken" Kent Cravens, 73, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at his home in West Palm Beach, Florida. Ken was born October 22, 1945 to Melvina and George Cravens in Peoria, Illinois, the oldest of four children. Ken grew up in Owensboro, Kentucky, graduating from Daviess High School as class president in 1964 and Kentucky Wesleyan in 1968 with a bachelor's degree in History. He also served in the National Guard. After college, he pursued a career with State Farm Insurance which moved him to Ashland, Kentucky. In Ashland, he met his beautiful wife, Terri Lynn Allen, along with many other dear friends including Billy Ray Cyrus who was his best man in their wedding. It was also here that Ken broke into the Construction business opening Cravens Construction in 1972. From Ashland, Ken and Family moved to Lexington, Kentucky and then down to Singer Island, Florida where he transitioned into Real Estate as a Broker. Ken enjoyed his work but nothing compared to spending time with his family. He loved going to the beach and having fun at Disney World. He is survived by his wife, Terri; daughters, Brandy (Joe) Zender and Christa (James) Hutton; sons, Jeffrey (Julie) Cravens and Brooklyn (Hannah) Cravens; grandchildren, Jackson, Bowie, Jayda, Ollie, Jaxton, Carson, and Colton; sisters, Mary Lively and Linda Lashbrook and brother, John Cravens, and numerous nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be held Saturday, August 17 at 2:00 PM at Palms West Funeral Home. Please wear your favorite color in celebration of Ken's vibrant life.
